NATIONAL PLAN OF ACTION AND POLICY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF CHILD LABOUR

The main theme of the Plan is to provide a strategy to promote rehabilitation child care and child education. The achievement of this goal cannot be made possible unless there is a will and partnership on the part of parents and community vis-h-vis the government. Parents should have the conviction that the future of their children can be protected by collective efforts. Society should realize that children have a place it schools and not at workplaces. They have a right to their childhood that should not be impaired in any case. Childhood becomes enjoyable in the process of learning and is painful when it is subjected to hazards, abuse and exploitation. The state has obligation to ensure that its sanctity is not violated.
