SUKKUR, June 19: While an internal inquiry into around Rs7.2 million alleged embezzlement in Sukkur Electric Supply Company workers’ GP fund is under way, the Federal Investigation Agency is stated to have started its own probe into the scam on complaints made by many of the about 500 affected employees, it is learnt. Sources said on June 17 that the money belonged to the Sepco employees, including officers, serving in the operation sub-divisions of Rohri, Salehpat, Old Sukkur and Pannu Aqil under Operation Division Rohri. Employees of Pakistan Railways protest against corruption, privatisation
KARACHI, May 24th: The employees of the Pakistan Railways on the call of the Pakistan Railways Employees (Prem) Union (CBA) Karachi held a protest against the privatisation of the Pakistan Railways and the corruption which is plaguing the already limping organisation. Members of the Karachi division of the Prem Union gathered outside the Divisional Superintendent office at the Karachi City Station on May 23. The protesters accused the Multan Divisional Superintendent of taking bribes for recruiting people into the Pakistan Railways, demanding that he should be removed from his post. Ministry finds something fishy in NCH recruitments
Islamabad, May 3: The Ministry of National Regulations and Services has caught some of its former employees recruiting three dozen people in basic pay scales between BPS-1 and BPS-15 on forged documents early last year. SHC takes notice of irregularities in prison dept appointments
KARACHI, April 17: Sindh High Court (SHC) took notice of the alleged violations of rules and regulations in appointments, and ordered home secretary to place on record the list of fresh appointments made in Sindh prison department. A division bench headed by Justice Faisal Arab also directed home department to file comments in petition filed by Muhammad Yasir Khan and nine others, who moved court against alleged illegal appointments in the prison department of the Sindh. The petitioners submitted they had applied for the different posts in the prison department.
