PESHAWAR, June 5: The employees of the Livestock Department on June 4 staged protest outside the Peshawar Press Club to seek regularisation of their services. Led by Arshad Ali, Sahib Gul and Sheraz Khan, the protesters gathered outside the Press Club and chanted slogans in favour of their demands. Speaking on the occasion, Arshad Ali said the government had established 200 veterinary clinics in various districts of the province two year’s back. He said the government hired the services of 200 veterinary assistants and watchmen on contract basis. GB employees demand regularisation
GILGIT, May 13: More than 250 ad hoc employees of food department of Gilgit-Baltistan are awaiting regularisation of services. “We submitted collective applications for regularisation of our services like other departments but the concerned authorities did not pay heed to our genuine demands,” said Waqas Ahmed, an ad hoc employee. But, instead of regularising the service, the authorities fired some 52 employees without payment of their salaries of eight months, he regretted. Homeopaths, hakeems seek regularisation
PESHAWAR, Mar 19: The homeopaths and hakeems serving on ad hoc basis at various hospitals on Mar 18 staged rally in favour of their demand, asking the government to regularise their service through an executive order. Led by Tib Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter president Mohammad Nasir along with scores of ad hoc lectures and doctors, he said the government had regularised services of all ad hoc employees across the country, but they were yet to benefit from the decision. Model college teachers protest for permanent status
ISLAMABAD, March 18: Contractual teachers from model colleges protested outside Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) against non-issuance of appointment letters to them after the government regularised their services. The protesters closed the exit gates of the building due to which the FDE employees remained stuck inside till about 8pm. From December 2012 to February 17, the Ministry of Capital Administration and Development (CAD) issued notifications regularising the services of 1,528 daily-wage teachers. However, so far only about 50 teachers have been given appointment letters. As March 15 was the last working day of the government, the teachers feared that they may not get the appointment letters during the caretaker set-up. Ad hoc lecturers hold demo
PESHAWAR, March 7: Ad hoc lecturers took out a protest procession at Sher Shah Suri Road on March 6 against the delay in regularisation of their services. They also held a demonstration outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. The protesters holding banners and placards inscribed with their demands also shouted slogans against the government.
